Sulphur baths in Old Tbilisi

If you are looking for the most memorable experience, the number one place to visit is “heart of Tbilisi” – Old Tbilisi. The history of the sulfur baths is the history of Tbilisi itself. According to the legend, King Vakhtang Gorgasali discovered the hot sulfurous waters while hunting with his falcon and he named this place “Tbilisi” (“tbilisi” means warm in Georgian). it will not cost you an arm and a leg to enjoy in a sulphur bath. Prices are affordable from 50-100 Gel for one hour.

It was the earliest settlement in the city. According to traditional beliefs, King Vakhtang I Gorgasali built a church and a fortress here, which also was the king’s residence. how can I forget couples’ favourite place love lock bridge, where you will fall in love again with your loved one. Legvtakhevi waterfall near the bridge and houses on the rock creates a fascinating view. People believes, that if you put the lock on the bridge, you will get married soon. so, visit bridge of love and wait for the magic.

 

The Chronicle of Georgia 
The Chronicle of Georgia (History Memorial of Georgia) is a monument located near the Tbilisi sea. 16 pillars are between 30–35 meters tall and the top half features kings, queens and heroes while the bottom part depict stories from the life of Christ. The monument sits at the top of a large set of stairs. If you follow the stairs to the viewing platforms on each side you’ll have a panoramic view of the Tbilisi Sea and the suburbs of Tbilisi sea that is an artificial lake and very popular place in the summer.


Peace Bridge
Do not forget to visit the Bridge of Peace, which was officially opened in 2010. An impressive bridge designed by Italian architect Michele de Lucchi connects the historic old town of Tbilisi and Rike Park. the architecture of the bridge is a construction of steel frames and glass panels. The glass panels together form an awning with an area of ​​150 square meters, which closes the footpath. Its length is 156 meters. Up to 50,000 light bulbs provide special variable lighting and it is extremely beautiful at night.
