  •  Kakheti

No wonder that Georgia’s Kakheti region is quickly becoming famous for serving some of the best — and most affordable — wine in the world. Not to mention, it’s one of the most beautiful places to visit in Georgia.

  • Tusheti

Tusheti is a pristine, remote region tucked in the mountains of northeastern Georgia. Compared to places such as Svaneti, the landscape here is not as dramatic and you won’t find many glaciers here. On the other hand, the place has a very unique, exotic atmosphere, reminiscent of a “sleepy fairyland”.

  • Mtskheta

Mtskheta is the religious capital, the spiritual heart, and therefore the most important city of Georgia. It used to be the capital city before King Gorgasali changed his base to Tbilisi. It’s also one of the oldest cities in Georgia, where 4000-year-old traces of human settlements were found. Mtskheta is also a home to three of Georgia’s most important churches: Svetitskhoveli, Jvari and Samtavro Monastery.

  •  Kazbegi

Kazbegi is the closest mountainous area to Tbilisi, relatively fast and easy to reach in under 4 hours by road. If you’re planning a quick Georgia itinerary that starts in the capital, a side trip to Kazbegi is a must-do. If you’re designing a longer journey around the region, Kazbegi is a welcome addition.
